syurga baginya..

terlupe nak update pasal seseorang yang aku jumpe weekend lepas. normal weekend morning, aku ngan laki aku plus the children akan pergi breakfast kat luar. so, normal place yang kitorang pergi is at cahaya baru.. small warung, tak ramai orang, deretan kedai ke dalam sikit, owned by sepasang couple - makcik & pakcik (bukan warung tepi jalan yang ramai orang but maybe owned by outsiders tu.. ni yang dalam sikit .. kalau korang familiar lah kat area tu). warung makcik ni tak ramai orang. orang ramai pergi makan kat warung sebelah tu. maybe banyak choice. warung makcik ni simple jek.. the food is just ok. but then, kitorang takde hal since ilhan suka sangat berlari ke-sana dan ke sini.. so, warung makcik ni quite safe for him to run here and there..takdelah aku dan laki aku risau sangat.

pagi yang lepas, masa tengah nak order, ade this one guy (berpakaian agak lusuh dengan rambut pendek tapi tak berapa terurus) lalu dan pandang kat aku. aku senyum jek. from his appearance, memang confirm he is a bit "kurang". lepas tu, dia jalan ke arah kedai runcit selang dua kedai dari warung tu. ada satu wira putih parked kat depan kedai tu. aku tengok dia mundar-mandir kat tepi wira tu sambil geleng-geleng kepala. iqram tengah nyenyak tidur dalam carrier. so, aku dapat memerhati sekeliling dengan tenang. aku tengokkan saja gelagat mamat tu. tiba-tiba dia berjalan ke arah warung kembali sambil memandang aku. tiba-tiba, dia cakap "hemm.. tengok kete tu.. lampu tak tutup.. terbakar nanti".. sambil geleng-geleng kepala. aku pandang wira tu. ha'ah.. lampu tak off. aku senyum lagi kat die. pastu aku tengok die duduk kat satu table.. pastu kejap duduk, kejap bangun, seolah-olah gelisahnya macam akan berlaku sesuatu. pastu dia pandang-pandang wira tu. pastu mulut komat-kamit.. telahan aku, mulutnya berkata "habis.. terbakar.. habislah.. terbakar".. tak henti-henti dia geleng kepala. aku senyum je tengok die. pastu laki aku sampai kat table kitorang, die tengok aku, aku muncungkan mulut ke arah mamat tu sambil tersenyum. laki aku toleh tengok mamat tu. pastu laki aku senyum.. pastu dia terus tegur "Man... Dah makan ?" ..Mamat tu tengok laki aku dan senyum "Dah.. dah kenyang! Tengok tu.. meletop nanti".. dia tunjuk lagi kat arah wira tu. Laki aku senyum kat die. Laki aku tengok aku pastu kata "tu kan Man.. yang saya cerita kat awak tu..". Pastu aku baru teringat.. oo.. mamat tu. ya.. aku ingat.

Sedang kami makan, mamat tu kate nak pergi kedai sebelah. Rupanya owner wira tu kat kedai nun sebelah sana. Owner wira dan Man jalan ke arah wira. Owner wira tu nak off lampu kereta die kot. Aku namapk dia pegang kunci kereta sambil menekan lock-remote dari jauh. Pastu Man berlari ke arah wira tu, bukak pintu wira and off'kan lampu. Owner wira tu senyum jek. Pastu, Man berjalan ke arah table dia tadi.. dia duduk. Laki aku pun senyum.

Lepas Man habis minum air Milo, dia pun berjalan keluar warung. Paling kurang.. note hijau. Man senyum sambil cakap "time kasih bang.. nak balik ni".

Menurut kata laki aku, diceritakan oleh member dia warga Felda Cahaya Baru, lebih kurang 20 tahun lepas macam tu.. ada seorang warga FCB ni disahkan meninggal dunia dan dah dikebumikan. 4 hari berturut-turut, seorang imam di FCB bermimpi bahawa orang tu masih hidup. Lepas buat laporan polis dan pelbagai.. diorang gali kembali kubur tu. Memang betul, orang tu masih hidup. Selepas peristiwa "mati hidup kembali" tu.. orang tu jadi "kurang".. Orang tu ialah Man.

Talking About Bosses..

Sebenarnye, almost every morning, my section yang dah tinggal tiga orang je as in “three musketeers” or “three stooges” or “tiga dara pingitan – but, one is teruna” (ada apa dengan tiga ek?) will have one, two, three or maybe more topic(s).. this morning, some of the topics are about sure heboh concert last night (talked about razlan Kristal with his blonde hair, Awie, also about his look), then.. weird/unique name that we heard before during school days (uji told about one name “helicopter”-very funny, boy told about his own name “badak” hehehe.. and me about a friend of mine “kelana” and “setia jaya”.. we also agreed on “seri tambak” as weird.. those in M**E surely kenal…). Then, we talked about “Type of Bosses” .. so, finally, I decided to google-it.. and found this simple yet fruitful article.. ;

Managing All Types of Bosses (By Tamara Dowling, CPRW)

There are dozens of careers and each demands a special skill set. However, there is one skill that is universal to all career paths: managing your boss. Without this skill you're not likely to succeed.

We can place our bosses into six broad categories.

Everyone's Pal
This boss wants to be liked, and usually avoids conflict. She is likely to let problems or incorrect behavior drag on until she is forced to deal with it. It is difficult for her employees because often they do not get the feedback they need to improve and grow. If you are a high achiever, you'll find yourself picking up the pieces for those not meeting the standards. It is easier for the boss to give more work to the high achiever than it is to correct the under achiever.

Self Promoter
This is the boss who is out to make a name for her. This may include taking credit from his staff. However, she is ready to share the blame. Because she is always looking to grab the spotlight, this leaves her little time to develop her staff.

High Achiever
These dedicated bosses are generally the first to arrive at the office, and the last to leave. A boss like this is constantly looking for ways to optimize her department, and to improve her knowledge and skills. They are political people who understand the value of networking.

Because they look beyond themselves, they are open to your ideas and eager to give you new opportunities. They also share all types of feedback, so you know where you stand. The downside of high achievers is that they cast a large shadow. Often they are legendary in the department. However, they will challenge you and can bring out your best if you allow it.

Roadblocks
The roadblock does as little work as possible. They tend to hire mediocre employees and don't push employees too hard. They love to preserve the status quo. These bosses tolerate mistakes, re-work, and inefficiencies. Ambitious employees or peers are threatening to this boss.

They are called roadblocks because they are seldom promoted, and seldom hire stars. They block the road for others to move ahead. They also hold the department back from meeting its highest potential.

B+ Manager
Most managers fall into this category. These are solid managers who do her best to run an efficient department. They are pretty good at giving feedback, and often offer opportunities to top team members. They are likely to do well in the company, as are those that they mentor.

In Over Her Head
Have you ever had a boss who seemed to know less about her job than you? Most of us can answer, "Yes." This type of manager is in over her head. For whatever reason they were promoted to a position which they do not have the ability or knowledge to handle.

Don't expect much guidance from this manager. And, she probably does not have much clout among her peers and senior management or partners. The good news is you have tremendous opportunity to take on some of her responsibilities, and possibly accompany her at high-level meetings. A manager like this will welcome your discreet support.

SO, IF SAY YOU ARE A BOSS IN THE FUTURE, WHICH TYPE OF BOSS ARE YOU PLAN TO BE ?

lagu-lagu indonesia

Memang betul.. kalau on je radio (especially era – aku tak dengar dah era now ni) sure ade je lagu dari seberang yang berkumandang. Mungkin betul, lagu & lirik ciptaan mereka tu senang meresapi jiwa. Pehal ???

Lagi satu, aku agak pening jugak bila tiap-tiap hari, cube kat sebelah aku ni asyik menyanyi lagu-lagu dari seberang tu. Penatlah weyyy… (ada masa aku nak ketenangan !!)

Korean Drama ... I Like !

Aku tengah layan cerita ni lagi sekali.. kali ke-berapa? entah ek.. dah kali ke 6 ke ke 7.. gile ke ? well.. not really. Sukati akulah kan nak layan berapa kali pon. (setakat ni aku cuma pernah tengok Jewel of the Palace, Winter Sonata (ni pun dah berapa kali layan),  Full House, Princess Hour, Autumn in My Heart (tak habis tengok.. anyone ada CD?), The Success Story of a Bright Girl.. ape lagi ek ? itu jek kot..), mesti ada satu lagu akan melekat kat hati kite.. bila dengar jek lagu tu.. mesti terbayang-bayang cerita tu, location die, scene die, sometimes dialog die, pastu rasa feeling giller... pastu rasa cam rindu nyeeee... nak tengok cerita tu lagi. Adakah aku yang merasakan itu seorang ? Korang ada rase perasaan yang sama tak ?

Unreplied E-mail

I am quoting my sent-out email dated 14/11/08. Do you think I should get the answers?

"Subject: E-Pass Replacement"

"Dear Enc.*****

Reference to the subject matter above, I would like to inquire on the replacement of e-pass. I discovered a problem with my e-pass when I want to scan it this week.The scanner could not detect the identity. However, physically, the e-pass is in a good state. Therefore, I went to the security office this morning to replace with the new one. I've been charged of RM30.00 due to the cause of damage and shall collect the card by this evening.

My questions;
1. Do I get any validity or warranty for the e-pass ? (I did question this to the officer in-charge this morning, he could not answer me.)
2. How do we define "damage" in the case of e-pass ? (Broken? Scratches? Undetected by scanner ? etc? )

Thank you in advance."

Weekend @ Balau Bay Resort

Last weekend, we went for a quick getaway. Booked a room at Balau Bay Resort, Tg Balau. Since my laki opened his workshop every Saturday, he checked out earlier on that day and we went ahead to Tg. Balau around 3.30 pm. Arrived there around 4.30 pm. Checked-in and changed to swimming attire and headed to the swimming pool. Ilhan & Iqram enjoyed their swimming session (more towards berendam). We headed back to our room (around 20 steps from the swimming pool) and relaxing ourselves in the room. DD and Ilhan "berendam" once again in the bath-tub (jakun anak beranak ni!! Hehehe). Me & Iqram lepaking on the bed while Iqram sibuk me****u sampai tertidur. Then we went for a dinner at Bandar Penawar (this is the nearest area with a decent restaurant avail.) around 8.30 pm. Went back to the resort, a group of school teachers were enjoying themselves with barbeque picnic, lucky draw, karaoke and other activities. We thought that we wanted to stroll along the nearby jetty, but unlucky, no light available. It's very dark out there. So, decided to stay in the room while watching tv. Abang had a blast, jumping here and there. Next morning, had a breakfast provided (sengkek gile resort ni, nasi lemak biasa – telur pun dah habis when we arrived, fried mee-hoon (kosong-no sign of prawn or beef or anthing, sawi pun secekak je), bread with butter and kaya, teh-o, kopi-o (sugar is inside a big bowl, no creamer or milk provided), orange juice (not a juice from my view, we didn't take it) and fruit – watermelon (macam tak bersentuh pon.. can u imagine watermelon for breakfast?)). After breakfast, we went for a swimming again at the pool. Went to the beach, however the waves were quite big and harsh. So, didn't dare taking any chance. Headed back to the room and sleep again until 12.00 noon. Checked out.

The resort is just ok. We booked a villa (which is not really one). Room is quite ok. But the lighting is not enough (maybe I don't like dark place). The surrounding area is peaceful and clean. However, the swimming pool is not well-maintained (broken and bloated tiles everywhere). It is quite dangerous for small children. No restaurant available.

Overall, quite pricey (paid a RM255.00) compared with the facilities available. Only 2 stars from me.

tag ?

this entry is a follow-up from Uji's post. However, I guess I am an anti-social therefore 6 nos. to tag after is quite difficult for me. Therefore, my tagging (kalau korang rajinlah..);

aku dan dia..

perasan tak, akhir-akhir ni kerap jugak aku menulis dalam bahasa inggeris. bukan apa.. aku rasa, sampai sekarang ni.. aku punye english macam hampeh ! especially, in grammar. memang mesti ade je grammatical error. aku tak heran sangat kenapa aku tak terror bahasa kedua tu (aku budak kampung, bersekolah di kampung, membesar di kampung - arwah mak seorang surirumah dan bak seorang askar.. mereka tak punye pelajaran yang tinggi.. dan bahasa kedua itu bukan bahasa kedua di rumah). cuma aku agak bengang sebab bukan ke kite semua start belajar bahasa inggeris secara rasminya bermula dari darjah satu. tapi kenapa masih tak pandai-pandai cakap dengan betul. sebenarnye semua orang pun tahu jawapannye.. sebab tak practise ! dalam berkata-kata mahupun penulisan. kadang - kadang.. aku rasa macam bebal la pulak. penat revise grammar rules.. tapi sampai la ni masih lagi tak masuk kat otak. tapikan.. cuba renungkan di bawah ini;

Maxis or not to Maxis ?

it has been few days that maxis coverage is not stable in my area. is it due to my new phone? well, i don't know about that. i used to be a master in this area 6 years ago as i was with maxis before. but, now, it is not my area anymore. with all the new technologies in the telco industry.. who can catch-up on all that. especially me. i guess .. technologies makes me stupid and more stupid. because i don't know what is the real function of this and that. i got blur when they say 3G, GPS, bluetooth, broadband, etc. for me, knowing what is that is not enough. i wanted to know more. how does it function, what makes it function in that way, and who invent them and more and more.. but i don't have that ample of time to search for every single term (yeah.. as if !!).

apa yang aku merapek ?

so, i called maxis centre - 123 from my mobile phone. spoke with the customer care consultant. his name is ST. with his soothing voice, asked me my phone number, verified my name and asked what is my problem. i told him that i experienced a network problem. asked me whether i used 3g setting or gsm. i said i am not sure. but i saw a 3G word on my phone screen sometimes. he advised me to change it to gsm as 3G network is not stable. he asked me what kind of phone i am using currently. i told him it is a nokia. so, he requested me to wait awhile for him to check on the nokia setting. not in a minute.. he came back and advised me on how to change the setting. suddenly, the phone line disconnected. (thanks to the 3G network). aku membebel sekejap. logged in to the net. typed www.maxis.com.my in the URl address and clicked maxis store. (i wanted to look for the fixed number of maxis call centre). suddenly, my phone rang and on the screen showed a "private number". i said "hello".. and this voice said "hello.. cik hurul, I am ST from maxis centre. sorry terputus tadi, ok.. let me tell u how to change the setting on your phone. u ada pen ?"... and there he went and tell me the whole process.

is he kewl or what ? he even went an extra miles to deliver the message to the customer. i like !!

so, with the new freedom for customers on the changing of network (which celcom is greatly airing their commercial - 012 is now celcom.. 016 is now celcom and so on ).... maxis or not to maxis ? that is all your choice !!

"baling anjing"

ever heard of " ni kalau buat "baling anjing" mati ni"..? that bahasa pasar of "baling anjing" referring to something that is very big - even if you throw it to the dog, surely the dog will die.

well, i've got commented by someone using the statement to my newly bought handphone. to tell the truth, i am no fan of handphone. for me, as long as the phone can be used to call out, receives calls, sending sms, sending mms, and a camera (for extra more).... is more than enough. i don't bother about 3G, web browsing, mp3, radio, tv and any other extravaganza things. i like to see it in others, but to have one ? not in my insterest.

i had to do this (changing a new phone) after my "very old samsung" got into the "sakit" stage. it has been quite awhile after all (maybe around 6 - 7 months ago). but i just send it for service and for sometimes.. it gets better and then sick again. the last "sakit" (which i can't stand no more) was when ilhan dipped it into his cup of plain water about a month ago. my laki sent it for service which cost him RM15.00. but until yesterday.. i just can't take it. i need a replacement. so, called my laki yesterday, told him that i want a new phone and just buy any. so, he bought me this Nokia 6120 (not a new model - but a brand new [my previous samsung is a second-hand one bought at one pajak gadai for only RM350.00 3 years ago]) for RM600.00. for me.. quite expensive. (i am a bit stingy to myself to tell you the truth).

come back to "baling anjing".. well, i am not offended or anything. but i guess the statement received this morning - "ni boleh buat baling anjing" is quite inappropriate. well, not that i can't afford the better one. but i guess this phone is more than enough. it has more features than a standard i set for myself.

sejarah handphone aku started from the day i owned a mobile phone (9 years ago);
first phone: nokia 5110 (brand new - arwah mak dulukan duit beli handphone since aku baru start kerje.. plus working in maxis memerlukan aku menggunakan a mobile phone)
third phone: nokia 1110 (my laki bought this for himself, use it for few months and swap with my nokia 3210 - so second hand for me)
fourth phone: panasonic g50 (same case as per nokia 1110, he swap the panasonic g50 with my nokia 1110)
fifth phone: samsung sgh d140 (same case as per two cases, swap my samsung sgh d140 with my panasonic g50)
sixth phone: nokia 6210 (brand new. no swapping with hubby. the samsung is sick)

see...do i own any "extravaganza vega boom" phone ? NO ! apa-apa pun.. sukati akulah nak beli handphone apa pon.

pagi ni aku marah. not a good day to start of with. yealah.. mana taknye aku marah, dept. aku ni ciput je. takkanlah latest info. tak boleh nak circulate. aku tak paham betul system dlm dept. aku ni kengkadang. bukan ke kalau ada new updates/ bulletins/ whatsoever related to post-tender shall be circulated to related people. simpan je buat ape. alasan, dah park kat server. hey !! people... server tu for sharing purpose yes .. but if you park it without informing.. can anyone know there are new updates ? NO..NO..NO..! Inform je lah kan..ini tak. Benci aku !! But then, to padamkan api kemarahan.. why not a piece of Surah Toha. Moga lembut hati aku hari ni.. Amin !
